The SX3 KFS KAT 2 and 2-3 functional safety linchpin (for catch profile) with triple safety is used as a safety element (bolt safety device) in mechanical engineering and vehicle construction.<\/p>\n

This linch pin combines three decisive and permanently consistent safety functions in its pin head.<\/p>\n

The patented bolt head\/spring washer design holds the spring washer in the groove of the bolt head in the open and closed position. In the open position, unintentional folding backwards or forwards is impossible. In the closed position, only opening by the user is possible.<\/p>\n

This results in three major advantages for every user:<\/p>\n

–> no automatic opening
\n–> no automatic closing
\n–> no loss of the folding pin<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

The SX3 KFS KAT 2 and 2-3 safety lynchpin (for catch profile) is very easy to use!<\/p>\n

It works on the same shaft diameters of the bullet trap shells as any other folding cotter pin. But it can also be used in other ways. See the movie “SX3 at home on all shaft\/hole diameters!”. However, due to its exceptional safety functions, it cannot be opened like a “normal folding cotter pin”.<\/p>\n

Therefore, observe the correct handling (see “SX3 function”) and you will enjoy using it for a very long time.<\/p>\n

You can use the SX3 on different shaft diameters! See the movie “SX3 at home on all shaft\/hole diameters!”. You can find more information on this in the product details under “Technical data”.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT! If the hole diameter is too large (e.g. the shaft has a hole diameter of 12mm KAT 2 and a 10x45mm is inserted into the hole), the holding security is reduced! Due to the excessive play of the split pin in the hole, the split pin is subject to high shear forces and also increased wear.<\/p>\n

For safety reasons, therefore, always use the right size of cotter pin for the corresponding hole diameter (e.g. 10x45mm –> hole \u00f8 10mm).<\/p>\n

In daily use, it normally requires no maintenance or care. However, adding a drop of lubricant to the holes from time to time makes handling easier and extends the service life.<\/p>\n

On delivery, the PTFE Longlife Spray from LIQUI MOLY is applied to both holes of the split pin. Extensive tests have shown that this spray works best.<\/p>\n
