The product
FlexCow ensures more “cow comfort” and safety in the milking parlor. With a spring mechanism, the immobilizer adjusts independently and continuously to the size of the cow. Pressure on the flank prevents the cow from hitting: The risk of the immobilizer falling down due to a loose adjustment or the cow becoming cramped due to being attached too tightly is significantly reduced. FlexCow is an innovation developed in collaboration with Albert Kerbl GmbH.

The practical test
Restless cattle represent an increased risk in everyday working life in the dairy industry. Young cows in particular, who are not yet used to the work process, often beat out when they are touched in the milking parlor. The conventional steel bracket in a rigid design is very difficult to attach in the milking pit. Since each animal is individual, it has to be adjusted individually. In practice, it is often the case that the setting is not carried out in an animal-friendly manner. As a result, if the conventional steel bracket is set too tightly, the animal becomes cramped, whereas a setting that is too loose creates a risk of falling. This problem is solved by FlexCow, a stainless steel bracket with a spring mechanism. A quick and easy attachment and independent adjustment make it an ideal tool for everyday milking.
