Conventional numbers have to be looped onto the collar, which is time-consuming. If the collars are twisted, it is no longer possible to recognize the number. The company Ideen für`s Land developed a new system for animal markings. This differs in that it can be opened to the side and pushed onto the collar. The numbers can be read on both sides and are provided with a color code. The production of the Collar Number DUO takes place in Bavaria.

The practical test

When the animal population changes, the animal identification numbers needs to be exchanged. Due to soiling at the collars, it is difficult to attach and remove conventional numbers. Collar Number DUO, on the other hand, enables quick and easy assembly. Thanks to the plug-in system, it is even possible to assemble the numbers on fixed animals without removing the collar.

As the numbers are easy to recognize it supports the farmer when identifying its cows. Twisted collars, the soiling of the numbers, or poor lighting conditions in the stable cannot be prevented in everyday life. However, thanks to the design of the Colar Number DUO with double-sided lettering and clear color coding, this is no longer a problem and the cattle can be recognized from a distance.
